Jessica, one of our photographers, brought in a truckload of sand from her grandparent's place in Hartford. She added some rocks and a few "weeds" and before long, it looked like a beachfront cottage!
Some of the younger children were a little hesitant about the sand a first, but before long they were all having a good time and getting dirty! :)
We are planning to make our sand castle special an annual event just like Santa Day and Bunny Day, so if you missed out this year, it will be back!
